T'apa - the 4th Baku Warrior

The final character I revisited was T’apa, who's still my personal favourite. I took on the feedback and focused on improving the textures, particularly on the trousers and skin, which now have a more natural, grounded look. I also added the tattoos that were missing in the earlier version and leaned further into his bald design, and to be honest I actually prefer him without the hat now.
I completely rebuilt the lighting setup in Marmoset, as I felt the previous version in UE5 just wasn’t working. The old lighting was overly saturated, too contrast-heavy, and the subsurface scattering didn’t make sense as it was way too strong in certain areas. I addressed all of that, aiming for a more realistic and mood-appropriate result. The new lighting better captures his cold, unsettling presence—and overall, I’m much happier with the outcome.
